L’Air du Temps – A History of Fans, 17th – 21st century

Discover more than 600 pieces from the remarkable fan collection of Bordeaux collectors Jean Suire and Patrick Lorient, who have devoted much of their lives to gathering 2,000 fans.
A Gentle Breeze – Fans from 1900 to Today, 16th July to 8th October 2022
at The Norris Museum, St. Ives, Cambridgeshire
A partnership between the Norris Museum and The Fan Circle International, this exhibition is in memory of the late Sue Angell, who lived near St. Ives and who was a volunteer at the museum for a number of years. Sue was a notable collector of fans and the exhibition is mainly derived from her collection. It focuses on fans made in the 20th century for advertising and includes a few outstanding 21st century designed fans.
